We were so determined to get jobs after college. We had even figured out how our lives were going to be after we got the jobs, but that dream did not come through because it was extremely hard to get even a low paying job. Most of the times we were shunned aways because of not being fully qualified to take up a certain position and other times we were too qualified to take up a job we wanted. My friends and I decided to seek the help of the government in order to deal with the hassles of life. When we entered the grants office, we were issued with a list of all the grants that were available for people like us who wanted to make it in life after college. There were grants for small business owners and since we did not have any businesses then, we decided to accept the grants for training programs. We were to go back to college and study other courses that would make us employable, since most employers preferred employees who were experts in more than one area. Having done marketing in college, I decided to take a business management course and to be sure, I got a job before i could even graduate with the second course. That was fast, and the job was well paying. It was such a good idea to seek the help of the government. All my friends are occupying senior positions in companies that hired them after the second training, and we are now living the dreams we had when we first graduated. I have since been able to help my family financially like I had always wanted to do.
